With Florida Southern College located on former orange groves since 1922 the connection to the citrus industry has provided a position presence on campus. The relationship was further strengthened with the formation of the Citrus Institute in 1947 which provided training and education to future leaders in the field. FSC at one time was the only private school in the nation with a citrus curriculum. In 1962 the Florida Citrus Hall of Fame was established to recognize industry leaders; since 1999 it has been located at FSC. The collection of materials related to the Citrus Industry grows by donations every year. This digital collection is a composite of a variety of sub-series collections that span the 1900’s through present day.
